We have tested it for heavy metal toxicity and Presence of Plastic. Both tests resulted negative. The biodegradability test is in process. But in our
laboratory, we tested that this material is 100% biodegradable.
The packaging material take 3 to 5 months to biodegrade and the Polka Flex Banner take 7 to 8 months to biodegrade 100%.
It is lab tested that Polka Bioplastic does not release any toxic chemicals.
Since these are from renewable resource, it does not need to be recycled, But, if you want you can. We normally upcycle all the polka materials and in
dry or wet environment it naturally starts decaying.
Polka is waterproof for certain hours, very good for dry use. In dry weather and for dry packaging usage Polka is much durable.
For packaging materials it can be stored for 6 to 8 months in cold, dry place. For Polka Flex banners – in indoor it can be used for months, for outdoor
application it can be used for one or two months conditionally.
Frozen items can be carried but not yet Polka is suitable to carry liquids. For hot foods Polka is completely safe.
Polka only interacts with moisture, but in extreme hot temperature for example 150 degree Celsius it will start burning and will end in ash. In extreme
cold temperature like below -10 degrees Polka will be harder and brittle.
Polka Packaging materials are now used to make alternatives to Polypropylene and Polyethylene based Tissue Bags, here Polka bags are 2 times costly.
But these bags can be used multiple times and will not harm the environment. In case of Polka Flex – it is 2.5 times costlier than traditional PVC banners.

Hand Painting and UV Printing technology is used for Polka Flex Banner Printing.
Polka Flex uses UV inks which is environment friendly then conventional inks but not completely Eco-ink. It does not use solvent-based inks.

printing technology, so that the material can be printed completely in Eco-solvent inks.
